This is a resource to connect the Greater London transition movements. The goal is to foster cross-group networking, resource sharing and inspire, motivate and publicise new transition projects. If you're new to the transition movement try starting with the Transition Initiatives Primer and then contact your local group.

There are two mailing lists operated via this site:

ltn-news is a short, edited bulletin published approximately every month covering upcoming transition related events, news and happenings in London ranging from festivals to upcoming film nights and permaculture courses. The current edition of ltn-news is August (See also July, June, May, April, March, February and January).

ltn-talk is a distribution list for coordinating the various London area steering committees and facilitate the sharing of resources. If you are interested in joining this list please contact the list administrator.

At the bottom of this page is a directory with links to the London area transition movements.

To publicise your transition related event, activity or other news item on ltn-news please email the news@london-transition.org.uk. Some guidance notes are given below:

• Please keep submissions related to the core themes of transition (climate change, peak oil, local resilience etc).
• The bulletin entries will ideally be a single, short paragraph plus a web link or phone number for further information. Longer submissions will be edited down.
• There should be a news focus to submissions, so a regular transition meetings would not normally be listed unless they had a special theme or guest speaker.
• Please try and give at least two week's notice and ideally a month.
• We also aim to include occasional spotlights on the activities of various local groups. If you would like to feature your group please get in touch.
